Benedict's Law comes into force on 1 September 2026. From that date every state school in England must publish a whole-school allergy policy, train all staff in allergy awareness and emergency response, keep spare adrenaline auto-injectors on site, and hold an individual healthcare plan for every pupil with a serious allergy.
Doing that well depends on knowing exactly what is in the food you serve. Every product in this range is made without the 14 declarable allergens as ingredients, and comes with a full specification, a complete ingredient declaration and an allergen statement - from one supplier, in 2kg bags, on one specification format.
Our products are made on shared equipment in a factory that also handles milk, mustard, soya, cereals containing gluten (barley) and sulphites, so we do not make free-from or gluten-free claims. What we do give you is the full picture in writing, so you can make the decision for your own pupils.
Our school sauces are formulated for school catering. We assess their composition against the School Food Standards and against the Government Buying Standards salt criterion for cook-in and pasta sauces of 0.83g of salt per 100g. They contain no flavour enhancers, no artificial colours, preservatives, antioxidants or sweeteners, and no palm oil.
Our school range (all 2kg): Tomato & Basil, Bolognese, Pizza Sauce, Korma, Tikka, Curry Sauce, Sweet & Sour and Gravy, plus Strawberry, Blueberry and Mango & Pineapple dessert toppers.
